The most inexpensive method when you don't have your own leads is Get Paid to Read Emails. Of course, results will vary depending on the program promoted. It's a favorite for affiliate programs and home based businesses. If your opportunity is free to join or is inexpensive, with good ad copy and/or a good content website you should do fairly well.

HtMail

This is by far the best paid to read email program to use as an advertising method. They are more expensive than the others, but the feedback they provide is priceless! To get paid for the email received, members have to fill out a short questionnaire about your site. You can view the results in REAL TIME online as people click on your link. Once your email campaign is done, you receive the results in your email: how many people looked at your site, how many bookmarked your site, and the feedback they provided - what they liked, what they disliked, if they plan to buy or return later. Many even leave an email address to be personally contacted by you. If you have your own website, this one is a must! It will tell you fairly accurately what works and what doesn't in your website content. You can even ask a question of your own in the questionnaire. Target a specific market, country, age group, interests, etc.

Email-Pays-You

This is one of the best get paid to read email program for advertising. I have had an excellent response from this one. It is very inexpensive, you reach thousands of people for little money, various ways to advertise at low cost, option to target the country(ies) of your choice, and even offers discounts for first time advertisers.

InBoxDollars

Another good program and relatively inexpensive but on a larger scale. They offer email advertising, co-registration leads, and paid sign-ups. Choose the method that suits your needs. I've used this one just once, and although the response was ok, my ROI was much better with Email Pays You.

I've never used this one but they sure send out an awful lot of emails every day. If you want to advertise, you have to email their advertising department with your needs.

Other Email Advertising Methods

Autoresponders

If you buy leads or have an opt-in list of your own, you will need an autoresponder to communicate with your customers and prospects. There are several free services but these normally also include third party advertising in each email you send. The upgraded versions eliminate all ads.

What you really need to know about autoresponders is whether they use their own servers to send your emails as yourname@autoresponder.com , or if the email is sent with your email address. This is very important to know in case of spam complaints. Normally free services will use your own email to send out your advertising and not their service.

Get Response - Recommended - I've used several autoresponders but I always come back to this one. My favorite by far! Very user friendly, easy to use and configure, great service - definitely a favorite, free or paid! The free version contains third party ads but the upgraded service is ad free. Very competitively priced with discounts available and many options. Excellent autoresponder, even the free version!

Free Autobot - I've used this one too, it's ok, but I still prefer Get Response.

SuperReply - This is the one we are given for free in my MLM business. I've never upgraded, I still use the free version and there are not many options available. I don't particularly like the set up. It's fairly easy to use and configure.

Make sure your list is an opt-in list because emails are sent with your email as the sender.
